There are many reasons why people may get angry. Anger is an important feeling that informs us that something is wrong, and that we need something. Often when we don’t listen to our other feelings such as sadness, disappointment, loneliness and when we neglect ourselves anger with our relationships, at ourselves or unspecified form of anger is an indicator that something must change.
Unfortunately, when not communicated properly anger can be destructive and lead to us hurting our friendships and our family relationships. It can often lead to violence, and hurtful words that are difficult to take back.
Part of our work together would be helping you manage variety of your feelings and needs so you can quickly identify them for yourself and learn how to communicate what you need with others. Increasing awareness of your feelings will help increase your communication and decrease the build up of negative emotions inside of you. We will work in a dynamic way to explore your feelings and thoughts as you describe things that are important to you.
You don’t have to be controlled by your anger, there are many strategies that we can implement to help you manage your anger and heal yourself and your relationships.
